The house itself is stone with wooden beams and French doors leading out to a large wooden deck that provides a wonderful shaded entertaining area. This leads from the kitchen/dining room which in turn opens to the large comfortable drawing room.

Leading off the drawing room is another lovely room that acts as a library or office, with a desk and a chair and printer etc. It’s perfect for anyone who needs to get away quietly to do a bit of work or make a phone call during their holiday to make sure their company hasn’t collapsed without them. There is fast wi-fi all around the property kindly provided by Elon Musk.

In the main house there are two double bedrooms, and a room with two large single beds but which could be double beds for two pairs of honeymooners. All rooms are ensuite. In the tower there is a small kid’s room with two beds, and a sort of little playroom up above with a TV.

HOME OFFICE

Across the courtyard there is a single storey building with ground floor double bedroom next to a twin and a playroom. Ideal for a family or perhaps older people who just don’t like stairs anymore.

The pool house houses a double bedroom ensuite upstairs and a twin room at the back. There is a kitchen but it’s really a sort of smart bar with fridges for cold beers, an icemaker and dishwasher. The main room is an area that opens to the pool with sliding glass doors. It has a large TV and sofas for lounging around, with quite a Californian ‘inside-outside’ vibe.

Living at Jean Michaud happens outside with extensive courtyards, patios, and decking areas, there is always somewhere to be and something to do.

Hosting a large dinner party or waking up early to enjoy a sunshine breakfast, the teens can lounge by the pool, the cool courtyard beckons in the afternoon sun, whether reading, playing games or dining in style the choice is yours.

FIND OUT AVAILABILITY

In stunning countryside, the house looks out over a green valley with distant uninterrupted views. There are no neighbours nearby and all around is peaceful wild space for deer, hawks and assorted wildlife down by the far stream that borders the land.

All double beds are king-sized, the kitchen is well equipped and there's no need for a basic shop because standard items like spices, sugar, salt, pepper etc. are in place.

4 double bedrooms all ensuite, 2 further twin bedrooms both ensuite and 1 twin tower room, ideal for children, plus a nanny/cook twin bedroom with ensuite.

There is a heated salt-water swimming pool and an un-heated tennis court.

Available May to end of September, but special requests outside that time frame can be considered. Contact us.

COVID REFURB.

Jean Michaud was lived in through much of COVID and the opportunity was taken to extensively refurbish the whole property; a new heated salt-water pool was made along with new patios and fully restored pool house. The whole property has been redecorated including new carpets and curtains.
